Effect of <i>Asplenium nidus</i> ethanolic extract on nociception using a <i>Caenorhabditis elegans</i> model

چکیده
Purpose: To investigate the antinociceptive effect of Asplenium nidus ethanolic extract (ANEE) using a Caenorhabditis elegans model.Methods: Sublethality assay was performed on ANEE to determine experimental concentrations be used for assays. Antinociceptive in C. investigated mechanosensation assays four treatment timepoints within 72 hours. index (AI) calculated cells treated with as well morphine, paracetamol and control (1% DMSO).Results: The revealed that (104, 103, 102 μg/mL) had significantly higher (p<0.05) compared vehicle DMSO). effects ANEE, 2.5 μM 0.01% mg/mL were not different (p>0.05). This continued after treatments 72-hour period.Conclusion: findings A. possesses which validates folkloric use suggest potential chronic therapeutic use.
